适应症
帮助防治烧伤引起的感染、溃疡以及化脓性皮肤病。
用法用量
局部涂擦或包敷患处，一日1～2次。
不良反应
1.在一项研究中，患接触性皮炎或慢性皮肤损害(如郁血性皮炎)者有3.7%～60%对局部用20%新霉素(有碱基浓度为3.5mg/g的硫酸新霉素制品供应)发生了过敏。但如涂药于无损的皮肤，且治疗不超过7日，则发生率仅约为1%。可能发生与其他氨基糖苷类抗生素的交叉过敏。用20%的新霉素凡士林膏做的斑贴试验，应在48小时及96小时时看结果。
2.长期局部外用可引起接触性皮炎。
禁忌
对氨基糖苷类抗生素过敏者禁用。
注意事项
1.交叉过敏，对一种氨基糖苷类抗生素不能耐受者可能对其他氨基糖苷类亦不能耐受。
2.本品局部应用可能引起皮肤过敏，并可导致今后局部应用新霉素时产生过敏反应。新霉素局部应用仍可引起肾毒性或耳毒性，尤其当患者肾功能减退或与其他肾毒性或耳毒性药物合用时。
3.新霉素软膏局部应用后，完整皮肤很少吸收，但烧伤面、肉芽组织和表皮剥脱的巨大创面则很容易吸收。
4.新霉素不宜用于全身性感染的治疗。
5.本品对铜绿假单胞菌无效。
