适应症
抗甲状腺药物。适用于各种类型的甲状腺功能亢进症，尤其适用于： |1.病情较轻，甲状腺轻至中度肿大患者； |2.青少年及儿童、老年患者； |3.甲状腺手术后复发，又不适于用放射性131I治疗者； |4.手术前准备； |5.作为131I放疗的辅助治疗。
用法用量
1.成人：开始剂量一般为一日30mg（6片），可按病情轻重调节为15~40mg（3~8片），一日最大量60mg（12片），分次口服；病情控制后，逐渐减量，每日维持量按病情需要介于5~15mg（1~3片），疗程一般18-24个月。|2.小儿应根据病情调节用量，开始时剂量为每天按体重0.4mg/kg，分次口服。维持量按病情决定。用药过程中酌情应加用甲状腺片，避免出现甲状腺功能减低。|3.老年人尤其肾功能减退者，用药量应减少。如发现甲状腺功能减低，应及时减量或加用甲状腺片。
不良反应
较多见皮疹或皮肤瘙痒及白细胞减少；较少见严重的粒细胞缺乏症；可能出现再生障碍性贫血；还可能致味觉减退、恶心、呕吐、上腹部不适、关节痛、头晕头痛、脉管炎、红斑狼疮样综合征。罕致肝炎、间质性肺炎、肾炎和累及肾脏的血管炎，少见致血小板减少、凝血酶原减少或因子Ⅶ减少。
禁忌
哺乳期妇女禁用。
注意事项
1.服药期间宜定期检查血象。|2.孕妇、肝功能异常、外周血白细胞数偏低者应慎用。|3.对诊断的干扰：甲巯咪唑可使凝血酶原时间延长，并使血清碱性磷酸酶、门冬氨酸氨基转移酶（AST）和丙氨酸氨基转移酶（ALT）增高。还可能引起血胆红素及血乳酸脱氢酶升高。
贮藏
密封，置阴凉处。
