适应症
克拉霉素缓释胶囊适用于对克拉霉素敏感的微生物所引起的感染：1、下呼吸道感染：如支气管炎、肺炎等；2、上呼吸道感染：如咽炎、窦炎等；3、皮肤及软组织的轻中度感染：如毛囊炎、蜂窝组织炎、丹毒等。
用法用量
口服，成人常用推荐剂量为每次0.5g(2粒)，每日一次。餐中服用。不要压碎或咀嚼。12岁以上儿童，同成人。12岁以下儿童，请使用其他适宜剂型的品种。在更为严重感染时，剂量可增至每次1.0g(4粒)，每日一次。治疗周期通常为7～14天。克拉霉素缓释胶囊禁用于严重肾功能损害患者(肌酐清除率＜30ml/min)。克拉霉素片或克拉霉素胶囊也许可以用于该患者群。肾功能中度受损(肌酐清除率为30～60ml/min)的患者，应将剂量减少50%，其最大剂量为每日服用0.5g(2粒)。
不良反应
克拉霉素耐受性较好。曾有报道暂时性中枢神经系统的不良反应，包括眩晕、头昏、焦虑、失眠、恶梦、耳鸣、干扰、定向障碍、幻觉、精神障碍和人格障碍。曾有一名双向障碍病史的患者在服用8g克拉霉素后，出现精神状态的改变，偏执，低血钾和低血氧症。也曾有报道嗅觉改变，通常和味觉颠倒联系起来。曾报道了用药后听觉丧失，而停药后恢复的病例。其它不良反应包括：头痛、关节痛、肌痛和变态反应，从风疹、轻度皮疹和血管神经性水肿到过敏反应和很少见的Stevens-johnson综合症和中毒性表皮坏死松解症(ToxicEpidermalNecrolysis，简称TEN)。
禁忌
尚不明确。

据报道，几乎所有的抗生素包括大环内酯类可能导致轻度至危及生命的假膜性肠炎。
