适应症
本品适用于肝性脑病和慢性便秘的治疗。
用法用量
口服，可于就餐时服用或与饮料混合服用。1. 肝性脑病:以每日排软便二次为标准，增减本品的服用剂量。推荐的初始剂量为每日每公斤体重0.6g，分3次于就餐时服用。2. 便秘:成人(包括老年患者)起始剂量为第一日20g(5g袋装，一日四袋)于早餐或晚餐时一次服用；第二日起，每日1ｏg(5g袋装，一日二袋)，于早餐时一次服用。 如大便次数大于3次／天或大便性状呈泥浆状或水样便时，可减半用量。适宜的剂量是每日排便一次，一般在服药几个小时后出现导泻作用。初次服用可能在2~3天后才有疗效。
不良反应
常见的不良反应有胃肠胀气. 腹部胀痛和痉挛,易发生于服药初期。偶见的不良反应有恶心. 腹泻. 肠鸣和搔痒。罕见的不良反应有胃灼热. 呕吐. 头痛. 头晕等。
禁忌
本品在结肠发挥作用，肠道不通畅(肠梗阻. 人造肛门等)患者不得服用本品。半乳糖不能接受的患者服用本品时可能会出现不易察觉的半乳糖血症(一种罕见的遗传代谢病)，故应禁用本品。
注意事项
1. 当出现胃肠道可疑的病变或症状. 不明原因的腹痛或出现便血，应立即停服本品。2. 水和电解质紊乱患者及腹泻患者不得服用本品。结肠粪积(便结)患者应先采取其它方法进行治疗。3. 出现腹泻(可能导致电解质紊乱)，通常是拉克替醇服用过量的症状。此时应减少服用剂量。应确定一个避免出现腹泻的适宜剂量(参见【用法用量】)。使肝硬化患者一日出现两次软便。治疗初期就出现水和电解质平衡紊乱的病例应予停药。4. 如患者服用本品后出现恶心，可在就餐时服用。5. 若服用本品一周仍未排便，应向医生咨询。自己服药时间不要超过四周。
