适应症
本品为降眼压药。适用于慢性开角型青光眼，继发性青光眼。也适用于急性闭角型青光眼的术前治疗。
用法用量
成人口服，初始用药时，每次用25mg，一日二次。早、晚饭后各服一片。如用药后降眼压效果不理想，每次剂量可加大为50mg，一日二次。
不良反应
不良反应大多发生在治疗的早期，包括感觉异常，尤其是四肢末端的麻木感;听力障碍或耳鸣；疲劳；不适；食欲减退；味觉失常；胃肠功能紊乱如恶心、呕吐和腹泻；多尿；以及间断性的思睡和意识模糊。也可能会出现代谢性酸中毒和电解质紊乱。短暂性的近视也有报道，当减少或停止本品治疗后这种现象都会减退。 另有一些不良反应：包括荨麻疹、黑粪症、血尿、糖尿、肝功能不全、软瘫、光敏感、惊厥以及很少发生的结晶尿和肾结石。
禁忌
在下列情况下禁止用醋甲唑胺：血清钾、钠水平偏低，严重肾、肝疾病或功能不全，肾上腺衰竭以及高血氯性酸中毒。在肝硬变的病人中，使用本品将会加速肝性脑病的发生。患有闭角型青光眼的病人应禁止长期服用醋甲唑胺，因为即使降低眼内压，器质性的闭角也会发生。
注意事项
1. 对磺胺少见的严重反应会造成死亡，包括史蒂文斯・约翰逊综合症，表皮溶解性坏死，暴发性肝坏死，粒细胞缺乏，再障以及其它血液恶液质。
2. 再次服用磺胺时，可能发生过敏反应。如果过敏反应或其它严重的反应出现，该药应停止服用。
3. 慎用于有代谢性酸中毒及低血钾危险的患者。
4. 闭角型青光眼不应用醋甲唑胺代替手术治疗，否则可引起永久性粘连性房角关闭。
5. 本品不能长期用于控制眼压。
6. 50mg规格片剂体外药物释放较快，不良反应程度可能有所变化，应注意密切观察。

密封保存。
